Job Description SCHOOL OF CREATIVE ARTS Part-time Lecturer (25260005) The School of Creative Arts (SCA), comprised of three well-established academic units: the Academy of Film, the Academy of Music, and the Academy of Visual Arts. Established on July 1, 2022, SCA is dedicated to nurturing future-ready talents for Hong Kong and beyond, while making a significant impact on society through innovative research and transdisciplinary studies. The School is currently seeking a Part-time Lecturer to teach the course(s) at undergraduate level in the following areas:  Entertainment / Media / Creative industries; and Creative entrepreneurship. The ideal candidate should hold a Master’s degree or above in related disciplines, with 3 years of experience in entertainment industries with aspects of content development, budgeting, licensing, administration, marketing, or audience engagement, preferably with teaching experience at the university level. A good command of English and Chinese, excellent communication skills, and a strong sense of responsibility are required. Duties may also include supervision of students, marking of examination papers, and any other work as assigned by the Programme Director and the Dean of School. The initial appointment will be offered on a part-time basis commencing August 2025. Re-appointment thereafter will be subject to performance review and course availability. A2 Reference no.: 5449 The position This tenure-track professorship focuses on analysing human capital formation from a broad international perspective using demographic methods and modelling. Human capital formation encompasses the demographic processes that determine the size, structure, and capabilities of populations, including education, fertility, migration, health, and mortality, all of which contribute to the renewal of populations across generations. While the position is open to all these areas of demography, we particularly welcome outstanding applicants whose research addresses migration and its interrelations with human capital formation. Applicants should be able to teach all the main areas of demography from an international perspective and demonstrate excellence in formal demography and demographic methods.
