Description The Sustainable and Innovative Transport Demand (SIT-D) at New York University Abu Dhabi (NYUAD) is seeking a postdoctoral associate to conduct studies on the use of Immersive Virtual Reality to elicit users’ preferences for innovative transport systems. Applicants with a background in behavioral analysis and mathematical modelling are encouraged to apply. Terms of employment include competitive salary and benefits. Research in the SIT-D lab focuses on understanding and modelling consumers' behavior and decision process for sustainable transport modes and transport innovations. Research is interdisciplinary involving behavioral economics, psychology, neuroscience, computer science applied to the transport domain. Responsibilities of the position include building experiments to understand user’s decision process for innovation, collecting neurophysiological and other relevant data, programming and analysis routines, as well as quantitatively analyzing the data collected. Candidates must hold a PhD degree or equivalent in a field related to behavioral analysis and mathematical modelling and demonstrated experience with neurophysiological measurements, as well as data collections and field experiments.
