Established in 2000, UoP serves the demand for higher education in the Greek mainland’s south-western peninsula, through a network of nine schools distributed across its six main cities.

UoP incorporates two earlier institutions, the Technical Education Institute of Western Greece and the Technical College of the Peleponnese. Established initially in the Greek city of Tripoli, where the former home of the poet Kostas Koryotakis serves as the rectorate, it admitted its first students in 2002.

Its declared aim is a "creative contribution to the development of higher education in the Greek region, with high quality standards corresponding to the content of studies, research and teaching in the requirements of a modern university with national, economic and international scope".

Tripoli remains the flagship, hosting the university’s central services, its management and two of the nine schools: economics and technology, and health sciences. Human and cultural studies, agriculture and food, and management are based at Kalamata. Fine arts is located in Nafplio; social and political science in Corinth and human movement and quality of life sciences are based at Sparta; and engineering is located in Patras. In additio,n the Research Institute for Byzantine Culture, founded in 2007, operates from Mystras, near Sparta.

Around 25,000 students are enrolled in 22 departments. The cultural significance of the region and its attractions as a location have led to the creation of numerous summer courses. Six regular UoP English-language summer schools include the Epidaurus Lyceum, offering ancient drama studies. And the annual School of Greek Language and Culture, in Kalamata, offers a four-week programme to 40 US and Canadian students of Greek descent.

About the Role We are seeking five Researchers to join an exciting collaborative project in partnership with Toyota Manufacturing UK (TMUK), a leading global industry partner. This role combines applied research with practical development, focusing on innovative solutions that address real-world challenges. This project will support the development of a new, lightweight battery electric vehicle (BEV) at TMUK’s Burnaston site. The vehicle will meet the rising demand for eco-friendly micro-mobility, with features including a solar roof, advanced connectivity, and sustainable materials, ensuring end of recovery and recycling. It supports the UK's move to zero-emission transport, boosts the supply chain, and secures jobs at TMUK. By developing a ready-to-produce design, the project opens new market opportunities and positions the UK as a leader in sustainable urban mobility and advanced automotive manufacturing. The Advanced Propulsion Centre UK (APC) has funded this £30.3 million project through the UK Government’s DRIVE35 Collaborate programme and aims to meet the evolving needs of urban populations while accelerating the shift to zero tailpipe emission transport by validating a novel, lightweight BEV in the L6e category. The University of Derby will play a critical role in the project, leading on real-world testing and analysis, and leveraging its expertise in micromobility user behaviour and solar energy viability. Together, the consortium partners are studying how to shape a smarter and more sustainable future for urban mobility across Europe. Acting as a ‘living lab,’ the University will evaluate how the BEV fits evolving patterns of sustainable urban mobility and assess its potential to transform city transport. As micromobility becomes central to the future of urban transport, this study marks a vital step towards understanding and meeting the evolving mobility needs of city populations while accelerating the shift towards reduced congestion emissions and enhanced urban accessibility. The research aligns with the University of Derby’s flagship Derby Urban Sustainable Transport Transition (DUST) project, focused on enhancing the city’s green spaces and promoting low-carbon mobility. By applying innovations in data-centric engineering and market demand opportunities, along with user engagement and experience, we will explore how novel technologies will be adopted and accepted such that micromobility reaches the most appropriate users and locations, maximising accessibility and effectiveness. About Us The King’s Health Partners Experimental Cancer Medicine Centre (ECMC) is one of 29 centres across the UK and specialises in new molecular and cellular cancer immunotherapies. The KHP ECMC has been awarded funding for a further 5-years to expand their trials portfolio, including agents discovered and developed by King’s College London researchers. With an extensive portfolio of early phase and translational clinical trials, there is an increasing requirement for tissue sampling and complex sample preparation. The post is based within KHP Cancer Biobank, part of the School of Cancer and Pharmaceutical Sciences. About The Role The successful candidate will support the ongoing expansion of trial-related sample handling and processing. This work requires effective monitoring, collection, and processing of patient samples in accordance with defined protocols. The postholder will have a broad knowledge and experience of sample handling. The translational lab can be supporting 20 or more trials at any one time and the postholder will be responsible for delivering a reliable and accurate service. This requires good organisational and planning skills. The postholder may be required to communicate complex information clearly and concisely with the clinical trial team members. Alongside clinical trial activities, the successful candidate will provide support to the Cancer Biobank. This will primarily involve processing biological fluids, which may include periods of intense activity. Both clinical trial and biobank activities are undertaken within a tightly regulated environment. The postholder will be required to actively participate in the quality management system. However, evolution of systems is encouraged to improve efficiency and sustainability. About us: The post will be based in the Department of Biostatistics & Health Informatics at KCL, within the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology and Neuroscience (IoPPN). The centre offers a diverse research environment that is open, welcoming and supportive to all. About the role: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Postdoctoral Research Associate to join a pioneering project at the intersection of speech analytics, mHealth, and precision psychiatry. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to an internationally unique study that integrates speech analysis with qualitative and quantitative methodologies at scale, aiming to transform our understanding of Major Depressive Disorder (MDD) and advance patient-centred mental health care. The postholder will play a central role in collecting and analysing large-scale speech and wearable data from participants in the GLAD Study cohort (https://gladstudy.org.uk/). Using large language models (LLMs) and acoustic analytics, they will uncover patterns in content, lexical choice, prosody, and acoustic features. These speech-derived measures will be integrated with insights derived from wearable data, structured assessments, medical records, and multi-omics datasets to enable innovative genetic and biomarker association studies, supporting the development of stratified and personalized approaches to mental health treatment. In addition to conducting cutting-edge analyses, the postholder will prepare research findings for dissemination in high-impact, REF-returnable journals and actively engage with Patient and Public Involvement and Engagement (PPI-E) efforts to ensure authentic, patient-centred interpretations of the data.
