The University of Genoa is one of the biggest universities in the northern part of Italy. The University of Genoa, University of Liguria, is spread throughout the region, with centres in Genoa, Savona, Imperia and La Spezia, organised into five schools, 22 departments, five libraries, 11 research centres and two centres of excellence. The University of Genova offers 126 bachelor’s and master’s courses, 29 PhD courses in 81 programmes, 55 specialisation schools and 37 first and second level university master’s.
