The University of Dammam (UOD) is a public university of Saudi Arabia located in Dammam, the Capital of the Eastern Province. It was established in 2009 as a separate entity from King Faisal University, which was established in 1975. Since its emergence as a new entity, the university has gone through significant geographic, demographic and physical growth to reach its current stage, in which it has six campuses, 21 colleges, 94 programmes, five directorates, 13 deanships and nine centres along with six scientific and academic chairs and a University Hospital of College of Medicine. UOD has developed in to a comprehensive university with varied courses in almost all the disciplines. Moreover, University of Dammam is in the process of gaining international academic accreditation along with many other programme and lab accreditations.
