About Queensland University

Universite Queensland is a Protestant higher education institution established in 1996 by Reverend Dr. Jean-Claude Dorsainvil and the Queensland Foundation for Children, Health and Education. The Universite Queensland was the first Christian university in Haiti. The university is located in Fort-Liberté, Haiti.

There are 10 undergraduate faculties: agriculture and environmental sciences; allied health sciences; arts; dental sciences; engineering; management; medicine and health community; nursing; sciences, civil engineering and architecture; and veterinary medicine and animal sciences. In addition to this, the university has four postgraduate institutes in agriculture, science, humanities and social sciences, and nutrition and food sciences.

The university has several partnerships with international universities and higher education institutions, where students are offered quality training. Some of these partners include: the University of Seville in Spain, Rhema University in Nigeria, and the South Valley University.

Fort-Liberté is the capital of Haiti’s Northeast Department and Haiti’s oldest city, not far from the Dominican Republic border.
