We are seeking a Lecturer/ Senior Lecturer (level B/ C) with expertise in biomechanics of sport and exercise to contribute their learnings through research and scholarly activity to inform their education and research practice. They will make significant contribution to teaching and learning practice, design and evaluation while continuing to build their research contribution, expertise, and impact. About you A PhD in a relevant discipline Current professional registration/accreditation with Exercise & Sport Science Australia (ESSA) is desirable Strong research profile evidenced by original, high-quality research. Proven experience in supervising and mentoring students. Teaching experience in biomechanics including course design, coordination, delivery, and assessment Demonstrated success in designing, implementing and evaluating teaching and learning initiatives Experience in supervising or mentoring others and/or coordinating team activities A developing knowledge and understanding of the key strategic issues in the discipline and higher education sector Demonstrated ability to foster inclusive, equitable and respectful learning environments. In addition level C must: Proven reputation at a national level as influential in expanding knowledge, pedagogical or curriculum innovation. An established network of academic, industry and professional partners and stakeholders. Developed knowledge and understanding of the key strategic issues in the discipline and higher education sector Significant experience conducting original research and engaging in scholarly activity. Description The Division of Science at New York University Abu Dhabi is inviting applications for Associate Research Scientist positions in the broad research areas of mathematical analysis and partial differential equations (PDEs). While all applicants with a background in the analysis of PDEs will be considered, candidates with prior experience in theoretical physics, fluid mechanics, kinetic theory, dispersive equations or harmonic analysis will be given special attention. The Research Associates will be appointed for a duration of two years and will work under the supervision of Associate Professor Diogo Arsénio on subjects including: Magnetohydrodynamics and the mathematical theory of plasmas.
