Universidad Nacional de Chimborazo is a public university that was founded in 1995. The university is located in Riobamba, a city in central Ecuador. There are four campuses spread across the city of Riobamba: the North Campus, Campus Dolorosa, Campus Centre, and Campus Guano. Home to three of the four faculties, as well as the administrative offices, the North Campus is the university’s largest campus. The university consists of four faculties: the faculty of education, human sciences and technologies, faculty of engineering, faculty of health sciences, and the faculty of political and administrative sciences. Each faculty is subdivided into a number of departments, which offer both undergraduate and graduate degree courses. Throughout the year the university carries out research that is published in numerous scientific journals and magazines. These include the Journal of Social Sciences and Humanities, the Digital Magazine of Science, and the Journal of Economic, Legal and Administrative Sciences. The Coordination of National and International Relations is responsible for managing the university’s international activity and developing partnerships with other higher education institutions across the globe. As a result of these partnerships, students are given the opportunity to study abroad in countries including Italy, Spain, South Korea, China, and Mexico.
