Job Description DEPARTMENT OF PHYSICS Part-time Lecturer (25260604) Responsibilities: The appointee is expected to teach the Year 2 course “Mathematical Method” in our UG programme Green Energy and Smart Technology (GEST) in the Semester 1 of the academic year 2026-27. The course will cover the basics of Functions, Calculus, Series expansion of real and complex functions, Fourier series and transform, and Ordinary differential equations. Requirements: Applicants should have a PhD degree in physics, mathematics or related disciplines, preferably with two to three years of teaching experience. Candidates develop an individual research project supported by supervisors relevant to their areas of interest. Doctor of Fine Art (DFA) The three-year DFA degree is a practice-based professional doctorate that provides a platform for integrating professional expertise and scholarly enquiry within the visual arts. The Position The Head of Painting is responsible for developing and leading Painting curriculum in the BFA course and collaborating with the Head of Postgraduate Studies to support Painting in postgraduate courses, including the BFA(Hons), MFA and DFA degrees. The Full-time Head of Painting works with the other Heads of Departments and Heads of Programs to deliver academic and research support to students. What you bring to the role The Head of Painting provides academic leadership and management of the Painting courses, including line management of permanent staff, sessional staff, and technicians. The position manages resource allocation including studios, budget oversight, and management of related learning and teaching materials.
