The Loyola University is a social initiative of the Society of Jesus. The university has nine faculties including business administration, law, engineering, international studies, economics, education, criminology, psychology and communication. The university offers both undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. The Loyola University has three campuses that are located in Cordoba, Granada and Seville. There are a range of centres where students can take part in extracurricular activities including the music centre, art centre and film and photography centre. Students can also join sports teams.

Duties and Responsibilities The appointee will support the research and implementation of a large-scale mental health and well-being project for primary schools in Hong Kong under the Department of Psychology, Faculty of Social Sciences. Major tasks include: Assisting in the design and development of research studies and evaluation frameworks. Supporting the implementation of research activities and programme evaluation. Collecting and analysing data under supervision. Preparing technical research reports. Coordinating research interns. Performing administrative tasks in support of the research-cum-intervention project. Any other duties as assigned.  Requirements The appointment (Post-doctoral Fellow / Senior Research Assistant) will be offered based on the qualifications and experience of the appointee: For the Post-doctoral Fellow post, applicants should have a Ph.D. degree or an equivalent qualification in Psychology, Social Sciences or a related discipline. For the Senior Research Assistant post, applicants should have a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Sciences or a related discipline plus 3 years’ research experience since the award of the first degree; or a research Master’s degree in Psychology, Social Sciences or a related discipline plus 1 year’s post-qualification research experience.  The appointee should possess: A good command of written and spoken English and Chinese. Strong research skills in Psychology or Social Sciences. Proficiency in statistical software (e.g., SPSS, Jamovi, or R), as well as MS Excel and Chinese typing. Experience in the implementation of community or educational research projects will be an advantage. What We Offer The appointment will commence in September 2026, on a two-year fixed-term basis for the Senior Research Assistant, and on a two-year temporary term for the Post-doctoral Fellow, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability. The organisation and delivery of University Open Days for Undergraduate and Postgraduate prospective students is an essential component to recruit high quality students and showcase what the University of Southampton has to offer. The Student Recruitment, Marketing and Events Department is looking to recruit an events expert, with experience of large-scale event delivery to organise this key activity as a maternity cover. Ideally the post holder will have an understanding of the education sector, but this isn’t essential.
