UIN Sulthan Thaha Saifuddin Jambi, established in 2017, is a public university formally affiliated with the Islamic religion. It has a history that dates back to 1957 when the Jambi Ulama Congress agreed that there was a need for a higher education institution in the Jambi region. The university was named in honour of Sultan Thaha Syaifuddin, the last Sultan of the Jambi Sultanate. In 1977 he became a National Hero of Indonesia. The university is organised into seven faculties: Sharia faculty, faculty of Tarbiyah and teacher training, faculty of Usuluddin and religious studies, faculty of Adab, faculty of Da’wah, faculty of Islamic economics and business, and the faculty of science and technology. Within each faculty are a number of departments offering various undergraduate degree programmes. There is also the graduate school, which provides education in specialised areas for students looking to further their studies and develop their research skills. The university is located in Jambi, a city on the east coast of the island of Sumatra.

An exciting opportunity to join the Southampton Clinical Trials Unit (SCTU), within the University of Southampton, as a Trial Assistant. The Southampton Clinical Trials Unit (SCTU) is a UK Cancer Research Collaboration (UKCRC) registered unit and was set up in 2006 to design and conduct academically led clinical trials. The Unit employs trial managers, data managers, statisticians, regulatory staff and administrative support staff. We manage a growing portfolio of multi-centre clinical trials that will directly influence routine clinical practice. The Unit is core funded by Cancer Research UK, has support funding from the NHS National Institute for Health Research, and is based at Southampton University Hospitals NHS Trust. The Role We have an exciting opportunity to work within the CTU. You will work with other colleagues in a team supporting our trial management team and will take responsibility for providing high quality administrative support across a range of activities. About You You will be a team player with a keen eye for detail and a flexible, can-do attitude. You will have excellent IT and inter-personal skills with a commitment to providing excellent customer service. Previous work experience within an administrative or secretarial support role within a research environment is required. Terms of Appointment The employing organisation is the University of Southampton which offers a competitive salary, pension scheme and other benefits. The post is offered on a 12 month fixed term contract. This is a full-time post, but part time may be considered. Description The Center for Astrophysics and Space Science (CASS) at NYUAD is looking to appoint new independent fellows working in one (or more) of the following center's research fields Extrasolar Planets Galactic Astrophysics (including compact objects) Extragalactic Astrophysics and Cosmology Astroparticle Physics (Dark Matter searches, gamma-ray spectroscopy, gravitational waves) The center currently consists of eight faculty members and more than 25 researchers and PhD students. The Center possesses the unique possibility to investigate fundamental questions in astrophysics, astroparticle physics, and planetary physics from several points of view, with the expertise of its members ranging from collecting and analyzing state-of-the-art data on the nature of the visible and invisible matter in the Universe, to detailed theoretical and numerical studies from planets to galaxies, and linking them together cohesively. We expect successful applicants to work towards improving the collaborations and connections among the different areas. We invite applicants to visit our website to learn more about current research projects at CASS. The center fellows will have access to a 70,000-core Infiniband Cluster (Jubail) dedicated to the science division, several GPU-based clusters at NYUAD, and other supercomputer facilities through the CASS network. NYUAD also has guaranteed observing time on the Green Bank Telescope, the Very Long Baseline Array, and Las Cumbres Observatory, and is a participant in SDSS-V. Applicants should have a PhD in astronomy, astrophysics, physics, or a closely related field. The appointment will be for an initial period of two years with a likely extension to a total of three years. CASS fellows will have dedicated funds for traveling, computing, publications, etc. The preferred starting date is Fall of 2026. As Singapore’s University for Industry, SIT works closely with industry partners in our research pursuits. The primary responsibility of this position is to deliver on a research project to develop an End-to-end misinformation and disinformation protection, awareness and mitigation pipeline. We will be recruiting a research engineers or fellows, as part of a wider project, to conduct research on: Signal processing combined with AI-based modification on speech signals. The need is for a real-time system, so efficient coding is important. Key Responsibilities: Participate in and manage the research project with Principal Investigator (PI) Ian McLoughlin, Co-PI Tong Rong and the research team members to ensure all project deliverables are met.  Undertake research within your domain, including keeping track of state-of-the-art work. Develop the code, evaluate and test. Write academic publications. Deliver solution-ready demonstration code. Interact well within the team and the customers. Be self-directed to fulfil the project requirements. Job Requirements: Competence in working with languages such as C along with AI applications as well as Python-based coding . Have a degree in Computer Science/Computer Engineering. Possessing a Master’s or PhD degree will definitely be advantageous. Knowledge of machine learning, pytorch, huggingface etc... Knowledge of speech, audio, time-series or signal processing is required. Ability to effectively and efficiently utilise industry-standard Linux-based computers for AI. Experience of authoring good quality academic publications. Manage undergraduate research assistants (if appropriate). Liaise with customers and collaborators in A*STAR and NTU, as well as collaborators in the UK and China.
