UEES, Espiritu Santo University is a non-profit private university located in Guayaquil, Ecuador. Its campus is located in Samborondón, Greater Guayaquil. The institution specialises in courses in education, communication, politics and ecology. It has multiple international partners that allows students to expand their studies across the best institutions in Europe, Asia and America. The majority of courses are taught in Spanish, however a few of the courses are taught in English through the International Careers Programme. The beautiful modern campus is a good environment for students to study and socialise in. There is medical care, parking and safe student residencies on the campus. Facilities also include a sports complex which comprise of a swimming pool, gym and courts. The library, which is situated at the centre of campus, includes both physical and digital volumes. The digital collection exceeds more than 4 million documents which is the largest digital resource in the world among universities. One notable alumni would be model, environmentalist and lifestyle entrpreneur Olga Álava, who studied international business. She has worked to educate the public about the importance of reducing pollution, as well as raising a lot of money for charity. Olga also had achievements in pageantry and become the first Miss Earth from Ecuador in 2011. There are a number of extracurricular activities that students can involved with that cover a number of different areas including technology, journalism, economics, ecology, leadership, reading, cinema and international affairs. Upon graduation many students go onto further education or research projects.

Description The Smart Materials Lab (Panče Naumov Group) at the Division of Science and Mathematics, New York University Abu Dhabi, seeks to recruit a highly motivated post-doctoral candidate in the areas of Artificial Intelligence (AI) for materials science, with an emphasis on structure-property-relationships, materials optimization, materials under extreme conditions, and generative AI. Candidates must possess substantial experience in artificial intelligence and machine learning methods, specifically in AI-driven materials discovery, machine learning applications for materials, or generative AI related to materials. The successful candidate will independently lead a project focused on developing generative AI models to establish structure-property relationships for materials discovery. This individual will be expected to collaborate closely with the project team and coordinate efforts with experimentalists from the Smart Materials Lab (SML) and the Center for Smart Engineering Materials (CSEM) at NYUAD. The results of this work are anticipated to be published in peer-reviewed journals and presented at prominent conferences. We offer unique opportunities for cross-disciplinary collaborations, organization of scientific workshops, and attendance at conferences. Key qualifications include a PhD in a relevant field, expertise in AI/ML (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow, Python), interest in materials applications, and a strong publication record. The position is for two years, with the possibility of renewal, subject to mutual agreement. The successful candidate is also expected to play an active role in other projects and activities within the Smart Materials Lab and assist in supervising undergraduate or PhD students.
