About AgroBioSciences (AgBS): The AgroBioSciences (AgBS) program is a component of the Science & Technology pole of Mohammed VI Polytechnic University (UM6P). It constitutes a structure of higher education and practical-based research with a vision of solving real African agriculture challenges by leveraging up-to-date science and technology. The AgroBiosciences Program Research Center leverages up-to-date technologies to address African agriculture challenges. It is a multidisciplinary research center that aims to conduct relevant, cutting-edge research that positively impacts African agriculture. It is based on the collaboration and synergy of several research programs targeting diverse disciplines of research in agriculture, such as  Microbiome, Omics, Plant Physiology and Crop Improvement, Plant Pathology, By-products Valorization, Soil Sciences, Agronomy, and Sustainable Farming… AGBS is seeking a highly motivated and skilled postdoctoral researcher to join our interdisciplinary team studying the biology of microalgae and soil cyanobacteria. This position will focus on understanding the ecological roles and potential applications of these microorganisms in agricultural systems, specifically for improving soil health, nutrient cycling, and sustainability. The successful candidate will conduct cutting-edge research on how microalgae and cyanobacteria can enhance soil fertility, optimize nutrient availability, and contribute to more sustainable agricultural practices. Job Responsibilities Study the biology, ecology, and physiology of microalgae and cyanobacteria, particularly their role in soil nutrient cycling, nitrogen fixation, and carbon sequestration. Investigate the mechanisms through which these microorganisms interact with soil environments and plants, particularly in relation to enhancing soil fertility, water retention, and microbial diversity. Develop and optimize biofertilizers or biostimulants based on cyanobacteria and microalgae to improve soil health and agricultural productivity. Study the effects of these microorganisms on crop growth, soil nutrient availability, and plant-microbe interactions. Design and execute laboratory, greenhouse, and field experiments to assess the efficacy of microalgae and cyanobacteria in improving soil quality and plant performance. Analyze experimental data using appropriate statistical methods and communicate findings through scientific publications. Work closely with researchers from other disciplines, such as microbiology, soil science, and agriculture, to integrate findings into broader agricultural and environmental research efforts. Present research findings at conferences and collaborate with industry partners or stakeholders on practical applications of research. Mentor graduate students, interns, or research assistants involved in related projects. Qualifications: Ph.D. in Microbiology, Environmental Biology, Soil Science, or a related field. Strong background in microbial ecology, particularly with experience in cyanobacteria or microalgae biology. Experience with experimental design and data analysis in both laboratory and field settings. Familiarity with agricultural microbiology, plant-microbe interactions, or biofertilizer development is highly desirable. Excellent written and oral communication skills, with a strong record of scientific publications. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team. Description NYUAD Experimental High Energy Physics group is searching for a post-doctoral associate to join the planned group's efforts to be involved in the ATLAS experiment as part of the UAE-ATLAS cluster, composed of three UAE institutions. Candidates must demonstrate experience in experimental high energy physics. The group will be contributing to the Physics Modeling (MC software, MC validation and Pileup modeling), the MET High-Level Trigger validation, optimization and performance studies, and to the heterogeneous computing where the focus will be to work on to the current efforts on accelerator developments towards the HL-LHC. Expertise in trigger development, performance and optimization and/or the ATLAS computing model is preferred. The selected candidate will work in the ATLAS experiment at the Large Hadron Collider. The appointment will be for two years, with the possibility for renewal, subject to mutual agreement. The successful candidate is expected to take a leading role in the development of the group tasks and help in supervising PhD students.
