About the Job We are looking to recruit an Officer to join the Systems & Courses Team, to support the administration of course management systems and processes. Brief overview of position. Support the delivery of a professional, efficient, and responsive courses and modules administration service for staff and students Play an active role in the day-to-day operation and maintenance of the University’s Student Records System (SITS) Ensure accurate, consistent, and timely set-up and maintenance of course and module data Contribute to the integrity of student records that underpin the University’s statutory and regulatory reporting requirements Work collaboratively with colleagues across Academic Registry, Strategic Development and Delivery, Quality Assurance and Enhancement, Financial Services, and IT Services Liaise with external agencies, including the Student Loans Company (SLC) and UCAS, particularly during key operational periods About You You will have relevant knowledge and experience of student administration, including the use of a student records system and an understanding of curriculum structures. Description The Smart Materials Lab (Panče Naumov Group) in the Division of Science and Mathematics, New York University Abu Dhabi, seeks to recruit a post-doctoral associate to work on crystal structure determination using electron or X-ray crystallography. Candidates must have substantial experience in crystallography, specifically in the structure solution and refinement of small molecule crystals using either electron or X-ray diffraction techniques. While candidates with experience in structure analysis based on powder diffraction, neutron diffraction, or scattering data will also be considered, preference will be given to those with expertise in electron diffraction. Candidates should be capable of preparing samples, independently collecting data, and solving and refining crystal structures, including those that are theoretically and experimentally challenging, such as structures that exhibit twinning, disorder, or that change or decay over time. Proficiency in refining structures from electron diffraction data collected using a microscope or specialized equipment is preferred. The position is for two years, with the possibility of renewal, subject to mutual agreement. The successful candidate is also expected to play an active role in other projects and activities within the Smart Materials Lab and assist in supervising undergraduate or PhD students. This is a unique opportunity to provide strategic and operational leadership to one of the University's flagship multidisciplinary initiatives, supporting world-leading research, education and engagement that addresses some of society's most complex brain and mental health challenges. The Brain and Mind Centre is one of seven University-wide Multidisciplinary Initiatives (MDIs), bringing together leading researchers, clinicians, educators and professional staff from across disciplines to deliver impact at scale. Working closely with the Academic Co-Directors and academic leadership team, the COO will play a critical role in translating strategy into action, ensuring the Centre's vision, objectives and priorities are embedded into robust business planning, governance and operational delivery. Reporting to the Academic Co-Directors, the COO provides overall leadership of the Centre's operations, workforce, finances and infrastructure, while ensuring alignment with the University's broader strategic agenda. The role is central to enabling multidisciplinary collaboration, strengthening partnerships, and ensuring the Centre operates within a sustainable and well-governed business model. About you (skills, capabilities and experience) You are a highly capable senior professional leader with a strong track record in operational management within complex, research-intensive or similarly sophisticated organisations. Knowledge of the health system in NSW and/or clinical trials would be an advantage.
