About Russian New University

The Russian New University (RosNOU) was founded by graduates from the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology. Their aim was to create a new model of the university that would have the same level of teaching and development of science as the legendary “Phystech”, and at the same time develop liberal education. The head of the university is also one of its founders, Professor Vladimir A. Zernov, chairman of the Russian Non-governmental Academies Association. The famous physicist and member of the Academia Europaea Professor Sergey P. Kapitsa was a scientific adviser at the Russian New University from 1999 to 2012. Today the university has 21 scientific schools. The All-Russian Scientific and Practical Conference “Civilization of Knowledge” takes place here every year. The university has its own technology park. RosNOU publishes the scientific magazines Vestnik RosNOU, Spetstechnika i Svyaz and also English scientific magazine Cardiometry.
