Kuwait’s flagship institution for applied education, the Public Authority for Applied Education and Training (PAAET) has led the nation’s vocational and technical advancement since 1982. As the premier authority for workforce development, it plays a central role in strengthening Kuwait’s knowledge economy and advancing national priorities.
Based in Kuwait City, PAAET encompasses six colleges and five training institutes, serving more than 60,000 students and trainees annually. Its integrated model of academic, technical, and vocational programs equips graduates with the knowledge, practical skills, and professional values required to excel in dynamic industries and to contribute effectively to sustainable development.

PAAET’s vision is to be a regional leader in applied education and training, aligning its programs with Kuwait’s Vision 2035 and global workforce demands. Academic and Training Structure
Colleges
PAAET operates five specialized colleges offering diploma and bachelor-level applied education:

College of Basic Education – Teacher preparation and pedagogical sciences.
College of Business Studies – Applied business education, finance, and administration.
College of Health Sciences – Allied health, nursing, and medical technologies.
College of Technological Studies – Engineering technologies and applied sciences.
College of Nursing – Professional nursing programs aligned with international standards.

Training Institutes
PAAET also operates eight technical institutes that provide vocational and professional training in various fields, including aviation, industry, communications, construction, and commerce. These institutes serve as engines for upskilling and reskilling Kuwaiti youth and adults, ensuring a steady supply of talent for the local labor market.
