As Manager, Commercial Property, you’ll lead a diverse portfolio and combine high-level commercial advice with hands-on transactional delivery—preparing and managing leases and licences, undertaking rent reviews and outgoings reconciliations, and keeping lease data and key systems accurate and audit-ready. Some of the key areas of responsibility are: Identification and evaluation of commercial property opportunities aligned with functional requirements and business needs, including location, space, amenity, compliance, operational constraints, and whole-of-life cost. Develop and present detailed business cases to support decisions relating to the acquisition, renewal or disposal of properties assets as required Preparation and management of leases, licenses, and related property agreements to ensure the University’s interests are protected and effectively managed across the property portfolio, including the ongoing maintenance of property and lease information within University systems such as NomosOne and Service One. Description We are inviting applications for a Post-doctoral Associate in the Division of Social Science at NYU Abu Dhabi from individuals who have or will soon receive a PhD in Economics focusing on Macro, Labor and/or Development Economics. The appointment is for 2 years and will begin September 1, 2026, subject to final budget approval and UAE visa acquisition by the prospective post-doctoral candidate. The post-doctoral associate will spend half their time on independent research, and half their time on collaborative research with Professor Pauline Corblet and Professor Samreen Malik. The collaborative research will be on labor and education economics with a particular focus on structural models tied with labor market surveys to study the role of beliefs in the labor market in both developed and developing economies. We seek a candidate with expertise in both empirical and theoretical economics, with good coding skills. The role will involve designing surveys, working with existing datasets, and applying structural models relating to human capital development and labor markets. The position does not require teaching, but it may be possible to get teaching experience for compensation. The Opportunity You will take a leading role in teaching, scholarship and academic service within the School of Nursing and Midwifery.
