National University Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic is a public higher education institution in Zaporizhzhia, Ukraine and one of the country’s long established technical universities. Its origins date back to 1900, when it was founded as a mechanical technical vocational college, before evolving through a series of institutional transformations during the Soviet period and later becoming a national university in 2001.
Located in the industrial city of Zaporizhzhia in south eastern Ukraine, the university operates on a campus of around 14.2 hectares. The campus includes academic buildings, laboratories, administrative facilities, student accommodation and recreational spaces, and forms part of Ukraine’s wider network of state technical universities under the Ministry of Education and Science.
The university has a strong technical and applied sciences focus, structured across institutes and faculties including engineering, physics and engineering, information science and radio-electronics, economics and humanities, law and management, and professional training. It offers programmes across mechanical engineering, aviation engine production, computer systems and networks, artificial intelligence systems, electrical engineering, logistics, international relations, economics, management, law, psychology and journalism.
The university maintains cooperation with international academic institutions and participates in educational exchange and collaboration programmes across Europe and beyond.
