Job Description SCHOOL OF CHINESE MEDICINE TEACHING AND RESEARCH DIVISION The School of Chinese Medicine (SCM) was established in 1999 and offers comprehensive education programmes in Chinese medicine, including both undergraduate and postgraduate degree programmes in Chinese Medicine and Pharmacy in Chinese Medicine. The School is engaged in a wide range of research projects, provides Chinese medicine healthcare services to the community, and seeks to foster modernisation of the Chinese medicine profession. To consolidate the strengths of innovative research, the School has established eight high quality theme-based Research Centres equipped with advanced equipment and facilities. The highlighted strategic research areas in the School include (1) Precision medicine and phenomics study; (2) Translational medicine and innovative drug discovery; and (3) Authentication and testing of Chinese medicines. Full Professor / Associate Professor / Assistant Professor (23240133) The School of Chinese Medicine now invites applications for a faculty position at the Professor / Associate Professor/Assistant Professor level. Candidates with a strong background in pharmaceutical science and expertise in pharmaceutical formulation in Chinese materia medica, pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics, and drug delivery system are invited to join the School. Preference will be given to candidates with appealing external grant record, outstanding publications and leading potential in areas of innovative drug delivery system and pharmaceutical technology. The appointee is also expected to teach subjects related to Pharmaceutics in Chinese Materia Medica, Biopharmaceutics, and Progress in Advanced Pharmacy and Pharmacokinetics at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, establish a vigorous research program in the areas of interest, and develop research cluster by means of intra- and inter-programmatic collaborations.
