They should have a well-demonstrated interest in ESG research, excellent communication skills in Chinese and English for both writing and oral presentation, and proficiency in data collection, handling, and analysis using statistical software. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend an interview. Responsibilities: The appointees will primarily work with the Institute Directors on the study of environmental, social, and governance (ESG) and related subjects, aiming for academic journal publications. They will lead a team of Research Assistants and Research Officers, actively contribute to various activities at the Institute. Responsibilities include collecting, handling, and analyzing data using statistical software, moderating research seminars, managing the Institute's working paper series, organizing conferences, and engaging in the academic life of the Institute by regularly attending readings, lectures, presentations, and other campus activities. You will work under the mentorship of Prof Chiara Neto to achieve controlled assembly of polymer particles, which should lead to paint films that are high-performing, durable, and with long-lasting colour. The project team involves academics expert in functional coatings (Prof Neto), emulsion polymerisation (Dr Nguyen) and in self-assembly and scattering (Prof Warr). The Centre for Health AI Research and Translation (CHART) was established in late 2025 under the LKS Faculty of Medicine to provide a unique platform that facilitates innovative health AI research and accelerates the translation of clinically validated AI and big data systems in a sustainable and trusted manner. We are now seeking a highly motivated researcher with strong technical expertise and a demonstrated interest in developing, evaluating, and translating AI-enabled digital health solutions. The appointee will contribute to interdisciplinary research projects involving academic, clinical, technical, and industry partners, and lead the planning, development, delivery, and operation of CHART’s technical platforms and digital solutions, ensuring they are robust, scalable, secure, and aligned with the Centre’s strategic objectives. Key responsibilities include: Conducting and supporting high-quality research in health AI, digital health, clinical informatics, research-support systems, or related areas. Leading the technical team and providing day-to-day supervision, guidance, and performance management. Overseeing and contributing to the design, development, deployment, and evaluation of AI-enabled digital health platforms, applications, databases, and related infrastructure. Ensuring system security, reliability, performance, scalability, and compliance with relevant data governance and privacy requirements. Working closely with academic, clinical, technical, and industry collaborators to advance translational health AI research. For appointment as RAP, candidates will additionally be expected to demonstrate the ability to develop an independent research agenda, lead research initiatives, secure external funding, and publish in high-quality venues.
