It has grown rapidly, enrolment topping 20,000 in 2022. All of them, with the exception of students at two Vocational High Schools, study at the main campus, two miles from Karaman city centre.
They are spread across Faculties of Literature, Education, Economics and Administrative Science, Theology, Engineering, Sports Science, Science, Medicine, Dentistry, Applied Science, Art Design and Architecture and the School of Languages, with graduates enrolled in the Institutes of Science, Health Science, and Social Science, along with six Vocational High Schools.

The Built Environment and Sustainable Technologies (BEST) Research Institute is seeking a highly motivated Research Fellow in Automation and Control to support the advancement and scaling of biomanufacturing processes. You will address key technical challenges, including in process monitoring, and will investigate the application of adaptable technologies from other sectors to enhance system performance. This includes exploring the use of digital twins for bioreactors and deploying AI driven predictive models to improve optimisation, consistency and overall yield. The main focus for this role is to work with the driven research team who are at the forefront of sensor technologies development and feedback process control for quality assurance tools and the next generation of renewable energy development. You will help in the research and development of the sensor technology, robotic testing and validation systems and in the AI data analysis to create multi-variate system models of different processes. You will be required to present their findings at both internal and external meetings and contribute to a range of key strategic documents including reports and presentations. You must be able to work with a range of colleagues at all levels and disciplines within the team and the wider organisation. Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) presents an opportunity to revolutionize public transportation by offering significant travel-time savings and improved connectivity, with potential socioeconomic benefits. However, noise remains a significant barrier to public acceptance. We are seeking applications for a Research Fellow, funded by the EPSRC, to join an exciting new project focused on understanding the aerodynamics and aeroacoustics of overlapping propeller systems. This project will involve high-fidelity flow and noise measurements, combined with semi-analytical predictive models, to establish new physical principles for designing high-efficiency, low-noise multi-rotor configurations. You will have access to state-of-the-art facilities for conducting aeroacoustics measurements and will require mathematical understanding to interpret and explain the results.
