The Faculty of Health, Innovation, Technology and Science is seeking a professional and well organised Executive Support Officer to provide vital support to the School Director and act as the focal point and public face of a busy academic department. This is a key position that ensures the effective running of a busy school which spans a wide range of disciplines, including engineering, civil and built environment and maritime. The role requires someone who can work with accuracy, discretion and confidence, offering high quality executive support in a fast-paced university environment. This is a part time position, working Thursdays and Fridays, and would suit an excellent communicator who is proactive, calm under pressure and confident managing varied and sometimes competing priorities. Description The Center for Brain and Health (CBH) (https://brainandhealth.org/) at New York University Abu Dhabi (NYUAD) is seeking a Research Scientist to explore scientific questions related to an in-progress normative brain database. The Research Scientist will be a key member of a multidisciplinary team responsible for collection, c, MEG, EEG, and eye tracking. The tentpole of the CBH is a normative brain database - the first of its kind in the region - that includes structural, functional, and diffusion MRI, behavioral and health measures, genetic information, and lifestyle questionnaires Candidates must hold a Ph.D. in Neuroscience, Psychology, MR Physics, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field. Postdoctoral experience or equivalent is preferred. This position requires extensive experience with multimodal MRI, including functional and structural MRI and tractography. Experience with big data analysis techniques is essential. Experience working with other large brain databases is preferred. Description Location Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates Description The Division of Engineering at New York University Abu Dhabi, seeks to recruit a motivated Research engineer to work under the supervision of Dr. Marwa Chafii on Channel Modeling for integrated sensing and communication (ISAC). Responsibilities: Lead the design, setup, and execution of ISAC channel measurement campaigns across multiple environments, hardware platforms, and frequency bands Develop, validate, and document ISAC channel modeling methodologies tailored to the lab’s hardware/software testbed. Integrate SDRs (e.g., USRPs, RFSoC) and RF front-ends (FR2, FR3, V-band) into end-to-end ISAC demonstrators. Implement and optimize advanced signal processing algorithms for joint communication and sensing. Analyze experimental datasets, extract statistical models, and compare findings across environments, hardware, and frequency bands. Collaborate with PhD students, postdocs, and faculty on joint projects, ensuring experimental results support theoretical work. Co-author scientific publications in IEEE journals and conferences, and contribute to open datasets/methodologies for the research community. Requirements: Education: Ph.D. (preferred) or M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, or a closely related field. SDR Expertise: Strong hands-on experience with SDRs (USRP, RFSoC, or equivalent). FPGA programming experience is a plus. Programming Skills: Strong experience with MATLAB and/or Python; experience with C++ for high-performance signal processing is a plus. Experimentation: Proven experience developing wireless prototypes, demonstrators, or proof-of-concept systems. Signal Processing: Solid knowledge of channel estimation, channel sounding, and multipath modeling (channel impulse response, frequency response, MIMO models, AoA, AoD, delay, Doppler, etc). RF Systems: Familiarity with RF front-ends, antennas, calibration, synchronization, and over-the-air testing. Teamwork: Ability to collaborate in an interdisciplinary environment, working with researchers and engineers at different seniority levels. Communication: Strong written and oral communication skills for preparing technical reports, presentations, and publications. Independence: Proven ability to work independently, from problem formulation, experimental design, and system integration to data analysis and reporting. The candidate will work in a multidisciplinary environment consisting of PhD-level scientists, graduate students and undergraduate students. Full time, fixed term for two years, located on the Camperdown Campus Opportunity to drive impactful research with real-world applications Base Salary $109,263 - $121,054 + 17% superannuation About the opportunity We are seeking to appoint a Postdoctoral Research Associate in Mathematics and Statistics to work on a project entitled "Data-driven modelling of dynamical systems: A measure transport framework". The successful candidate will work with Associate Professor Tiangang Cui and Professor Georg Gottwald as well as Professor Sebastian Reich on a project at the interface of dynamical systems, measure transport and machine learning on developing a novel mathematical framework for identifying reduced dynamical models of high-dimensional complex multi-scale systems. The project will develop fast, scalable numerical algorithms for extracting the evolution model of the relevant dynamical skeleton, quantifying associated uncertainties. We will develop mathematical theory underpinning the novel methodology, as well as applying it to the development of a data-driven model for climate prediction of the El-Ni o-Southern Oscillation.
