Part-time (3 days), Fixed Term position until March 2027 (parental leave cover) Salary Level HEW 8 + 17% Superannuation Based at the Bundoora campus, but may be required to work and/or be based at other campuses of the University About the Role You will provide individual supervision for Clinical Psychology students on placement in the RMIT Psychology Clinic. They will support students to achieve their competencies on placement, develop their clinical skills and maintain high quality client services. The appointee will maintain excellent working relationships with colleagues at the RMIT Health Clinics, as well as at the Faculty and University levels as appropriate. Mandatory Qualifications:   Accredited Masters, or Doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology. Current registration and endorsement in Clinical Psychology with the Psychology Board of Australia. Current endorsement as a PsyBA Board Approved supervisor in the field of Clinical Psychology. Appointment to this position is subject to passing Working with Children check and Police checks. To be successful in this position you'll have as a minimum: A high level of proficiency in clinical psychology assessment and interventions with complex mental health/psychological disorders in relevant client groups. A high level of knowledge of psychological theories, models and evidence-based clinical interventions with complex mental health/psychological disorders in varied client groups. A high level of competence in the clinical supervision of clinical psychology students in assessment and intervention with complex mental health/psychological disorders in relevant client groups. Demonstrable training and significant experience delivering cognitive behavioural and CBT related interventions (e.g. ACT, schema focused therapies, DBT etc) A high level of knowledge of laws and ethical standards governing psychological practice. Ability to work autonomously whilst displaying a strong commitment to work in a team environment, including the demonstrated ability to confidently and effectively work with colleagues in the Master of Clinical Psychology program. Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines, effectively manage varying workloads and respond to changing priorities as required. About the College The Discipline of Psychology is located on both the Bundoora Campus (West) and the City Campus of the University. The discipline has a focus on the application of psychology to achieve better health outcomes. An important aspect of our clinical program is the exposure to practice experience that students receive in our multi-disciplinary clinic at University Hill, Bundoora. The discipline has research strengths in biological, health and clinical psychology, particularly in the areas of sleep, lifestyle and chronic diseases. About the Role The Lecturer will contribute to excellence in teaching and learning across the suite of Postgraduate Palliative & End of Life Care topics in the Palliative & End of Life Care Graduate Certificate, Diploma, Masters or specialist short course offerings. You will be responsible for making an independent contribution to teaching and the scholarship of teaching using innovations in teaching practices and technologies to deliver excellence in teaching. You will have the opportunity to develop teaching materials, deliver lectures/tutorials or other innovative teaching and learning strategies, coordinate topics and support assessment work. Another exciting aspect of this role is the opportunity to concurrently engage in practice in a clinical or community setting to support maintenance of contemporary practice, knowledge and skills. About You You are passionate about educating the next generation of palliative & end of life care professionals, evident through your longstanding track record of clinical leadership, excellence in teaching at a tertiary level, coupled with your contribution to the development, delivery and evaluation of innovative teaching and learning strategies. Your natural ability to establish and maintain relationships with staff, students and industry, highlight your effective interpersonal, written and oral communication skills. You hold a PhD in the relevant field or equivalent clinical experience and professional standing in Palliative & End of Life Care and maintain a current membership or eligibility with a relevant professional association. You will also demonstrate the following: An understanding of pedagogical theory and contemporary educational practice relevant to Palliative and End-of-life Care. Evidence of reflective practice.
