Applicants should possess a Ph.D. degree in biological/medical sciences with experience in B and T cell immunology, or virology / microbiology and a proven research track record. Strong communication skills and a good command of spoken and written English are essential. Applicants should be organized, attentive to details, responsible, self-motivated, and be able to work independently as well as in a team. Prior experience in working with respiratory viruses, vaccine/drug development and/or innate immunity would be advantageous. The appointee will deliver collaborative projects related to the development of live-attenuated vaccine strategies targeting influenza and other respiratory diseases. The appointee will be expected to either deliver projects with an immunology focus (characterising immune mechanisms) or a molecular virology focus (vaccine development).
