About us Our contemporary Chemistry Department, based in the Faculty of Natural, Mathematical and Engineering Sciences, provides an exciting place to explore the boundaries of the subject. About the role The postdoctoral position will be an integrative part of an exciting ERC project dedicated to biosynthesize and electrochemically characterise a series of metalloenzymes as the central target of the last WP3 of the ERC project. The postdoc will have to also work on electrode chemical modifications and be able to work on computational modelling of the electrode/protein bioiterface. We are seeking highly motivated postdoctoral candidates willing to fully commit to an exciting, cutting-edge project. The skills we are looking for are, but not limited to:  Preparation of enzymes using recombinant methods; synthesis, purification and modification. Experience in bioelectrochemistry and biosensing approaches using voltammetry, chronoamperometry and impedance spectroscopy. Biophysical characterization of enzyme proteins, use of CD, IR, NMR, etc Experience in computational modelling of biointerfaces using advanced molecular dynamic approaches This is a full time (35 hours per week) and you will be offered a fixed term contract until 28/02/2026. Essential criteria PhD qualified in relevant subject area (or pending results) Vast experience in cell culture and protein prep Experience on electrochemical biosensing and bioelectrochemistry Experience on computational modelling of iointerfaces Evidence of independent motivation in the formulation, planning and implementation of research activities Wet Chemistry lab work with analytical accuracy Managing laboratory experience including supervision of junior researchers and research students Ability to work independently and as a collaborative team member to meet project deadlines Desirable criteria Experience on optical microscopies for cell culture assays Experience in optical spectroscopies and mass-spec. Description The Division of Engineering at New York University Abu Dhabi seeks to recruit a motivated post-doctoral associate with a strong background in game theory, control systems, and/or learning theory to join the research team of Prof. Muhammad Umar B. Niazi. The position focuses on the design and implementation of incentive mechanisms for sociotechnical and cyber-physical-human systems, with particular emphasis on smart mobility and urban transportation networks.
