Aror University of Art, Architecture, Design and Heritage is a public university near Sukkur in Sindh, Pakistan. It was formally established in 2020 under the Aror University Act and is dedicated to education in art, design, architecture and cultural heritage.
The 60 acre campus is designed to support studio-based and practice-led learning, with workshops, design studios, laboratories, exhibition spaces and teaching facilities for both creative and technical disciplines.
The university developed from earlier institutions, including the Sindh College of Arts and Design and the Centre of Excellence in Art and Design at Quaid e Awam University of Engineering, Science and Technology. It became an independent university following legislation passed by the Provincial Assembly of Sindh in 2020.
Aror University offers undergraduate programmes in architecture, civil engineering, environmental science, visual arts, fashion design, textile design, interior design, communication design, archaeology, history, multimedia and gaming, cyber security and artificial intelligence. 
Students work through studio projects, research tasks and collaborative assignments that link design education with cultural heritage and modern industry needs.
Facilities include architecture and design studios, digital labs, fabrication workshops, galleries, lecture halls, a library and student learning spaces.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced, proactive and highly organised Technician to oversee the effective day-to-day operation of Surrey Clinical Simulation Centre, Clinical skills facilities and specialist psychology facilities such as XR/VR labs across the Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences. This is a key role supporting teaching and research activity across the Schools of Health Sciences, Medicine and Psychology. 

The successful candidate will act as a main point of contact for technical services, working closely with academic and professional services staff, students, external suppliers and wider University stakeholders. You will ensure that laboratory, Clinical Skills and Simulation spaces, equipment, technical support and health and safety processes are managed to a high standard, enabling excellent teaching, and research outcomes.

This role would suit an experienced Clinical skills/Simulation manager or technical services professional with strong leadership skills, sound technical knowledge and a commitment to delivering a safe, efficient and student-focused service.

About You

The successful candidate will have experience of managing and overseeing clinical skills, simulation, specialist teaching, or research facilities, ideally within a higher education, healthcare, psychology, life sciences, or related environment.

You will be confident in coordinating day-to-day operational activity, managing and supporting staff, assisting facility users, and ensuring that facilities are maintained to high standards of safety, compliance, accessibility, and service delivery.

Experience of working within teaching or learning environments would be advantageous, along with an understanding of the need to deliver high-quality support in a busy, fast-paced setting. You will be highly organised, able to plan effectively, manage competing priorities, and respond flexibly to changing operational demands.

The role will require regular communication with a wide range of stakeholders, including students, academic colleagues, professional services staff, and external partners. You will therefore bring excellent interpersonal and communication skills, a proactive and solutions-focused approach, and the ability to build positive working relationships across a diverse community.

The Lucy Family Institute for Data & Society at the University of Notre Dame seeks an assistant-level research professor (non tenure-track). We prefer candidates with strong expertise in advanced causal inference and computational social science methods including econometric modeling of observational data, survey design, randomized control trials and digital experiments, machine learning (ML) to construct ML-based regressors, and causal ML. The faculty member will be part of a new digital engagement for learning analytics research group within Lucy. As such, research experience with digital engagement measurement, online gaming analytics, and AI-enabled policy impact analysis will be beneficial. Given the policy-oriented learning translation analytics aspect of some of the research, ideal candidates will also have a robust track record of teaching excellence demonstrated through multiple years and sections of lead-instructor course delivery (with high teaching evaluations). The research faculty will be working closely with Professors Ahmed Abbasi (Director of the Institute), Rick Johnson (Associate Director of the Institute), and Sugana Chawla (Data Science Education Program Director).

The ideal candidate would have evidence of excellence in research and scholarship. The ideal candidate would have also demonstrated an interest in interdisciplinary work, as evidenced through projects or research publications.

Expectations


	Help establish a research program for robust measurement and causal inference in digital settings including but not limited to online video games.
	Publish in top venues, and/or pipeline evidence such as revise-and-resubmits at top academic journals (e.g., UTD-24, Economics, Science/Nature/PNAS, etc.);
	Pursue interdisciplinary research by building collaborations;
	Mentor or co-mentor graduate and undergraduate students;
	Lead and collaborate on research grants;
	Teach / co-teach courses on related topics;


Qualifications:


	Requires a PhD in with methodological expertise in causal inference via econometric modeling, machine learning, analysis of digital trace and survey data, and experiment design.
	Research experience (projects, papers) related to digital engagement, online gaming telemetry data, and analysis of policy impact and implications, with a track record of experience beyond doctoral studies in the domain.
	Strong demonstrated teaching skills.

The Role

We are seeking an excellent academic to join our staff as an Assistant Professor / Lecturer in Physical Education in the Primary School. The person appointed will have a proven record of teaching, research and publication, appropriate to career stage.
