About Abu Dhabi University
Founded in 2003, Abu Dhabi University has grown to become the largest private university in the United Arab Emirates.
The univesity follows a similar teaching structure to US universities.
It is located on three campuses – Khalifa City, Al Ain and Dubai. There are six colleges at the university including arts and sciences, business, engineering, health sciences law and the academic programmes of military colleges.
International students make up around 40 per cent of the student population.
English language courses require slightly higher entry scores than those in Arabic. The university has a range of international agreements with universities from around the world including Trinity College Dublin, University College Dublin and Dalhousie University in Canada.
Annual student events include "UAE Threads" for textiles projects and a regional undergraduate research competition.
