Position Details  Continuing | Full Time Academic Level B | $113,211 - $133,974 pa plus 17% Super Location: Bedford Park / Kaurna Country View Position Description About the Position The College of Human Sciences and Culture is seeking a Lecturer in Early Childhood Education to play a pivotal role in shaping South Australia’s evolving early childhood landscape through innovative teaching and research. In this influential role, you will bring your expertise in Birth–5 education and care, and literacy and/or numeracy education, to inspire the next generation of educators and strengthen the early childhood workforce. As a Lecturer in Early Childhood Education, you will: Contribute to the design, development, and delivery of undergraduate and postgraduate curriculum. Undertake high-quality research aligned with the College’s strengths, producing impactful publications and securing external research funding. Supervise and mentor students undertaking Work Integrated Learning (WIL), Honours, and/or Higher Degree Research projects. Build and sustain strong partnerships with industry, government, and community stakeholders to enhance teaching, learning, and research outcomes. About You You are a passionate academic with a deep commitment to advancing early childhood education. You bring creativity, rigour, and innovation to your teaching and research, and you are motivated to equip students with the skills and confidence to become outstanding educators and leaders in the sector. To succeed in this role, you will bring: A PhD or equivalent qualification in Early Childhood Education or a related field. Demonstrated expertise in literacy and/or numeracy education in birth–5 early childhood settings. Evidence of innovative and high-quality teaching at tertiary level, including curriculum design and topic coordination. A developing or established research profile with quality publications and success in attracting external funding (commensurate with career stage). Job Description DEPARTMENT OF COMPUTER SCIENCE Research Assistant Professor in Computer Science (3 vacancies) (23240526) The Department presently offers BSc, MSc, MPhil, and PhD programmes, and is now seeking outstanding applicants for the following positions. The positions are created and funded as part of the strategic research development initiatives in the Department. The appointees will be provided with a conducive research environment, and will work within an established group of faculty in the Department. They are also expected to perform group-based high-impact research and undertake some teaching duties. Applicants should possess a PhD degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field, and sufficiently demonstrate abilities to conduct high-quality research in one of the Department's key research areas: (i) Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning; (ii) Big Data Analytics and Management; (iii) Computer Vision and Pattern Recognition; and (iv) Distributed Systems and Networking. Job Description FACULTY OF SCIENCE DEPARTMENT OF CHEMISTRY With offers for BSc (Hons) in Biochemical and Testing Sciences, MSc in Analytical Chemistry, MPhil (by research), and PhD degrees, the Department has around 140 undergraduate students, 70 taught postgraduate students and 100 research students and project staff. It is inviting applications for the following position: Research Assistant Professor (25260457) Responsibilities: Initially, the appointee will work closely with Professor David Parker FRS, Chair Professor in Chemistry (https://chem.hkbu.edu.hk/davidparker) to conduct high-quality research, and showcase original research accomplishments that have the potential to allow them to develop an internationally leading profile in chemical science. The appointee will supervise MPhil and PhD students, engaging in various scholarly activities, including gaining experience in teaching undergraduate and postgraduate courses. Requirements: Applicants must possess a PhD degree with post-doctoral experience in organic or inorganic chemistry or a closely related field from a reputable university/institution. They should have research experience in Chemical Science (broadly defined to embrace synthetic chemistry in supramolecular science/chemical probes/physical organic chemistry/chirality/NMR/coordination chemistry), preferably with an impressive publication record in peer-reviewed international journals. Prior experience in teaching and mentoring research students is desirable.
