About
The Chaplin School offers a Bachelor of Science degree in Hospitality Management available both online or on site. The School also operates a dual degree program in conjunction with Tianjin University of Commerce (TUC) in Tianjin, China. The Marriott Tianjin China Program, established in 2004 and currently FIU’s largest program abroad, also offers study abroad opportunities for students on the Miami campuses.

Course details
The hospitality management course includes a variety of compulsory core classes along with the option to minor in beverage, hotel/lodging, restaurant/foodservice and travel and tourism management. There is also a work experience requirement in a relevant industry, and a range of internship opportunities. Students with extensive industry management experience may apply for a waiver on their work experience requirement.
Entry requirements
Applicants to the School must submit an application for admission to the University, and must be eligible for admission to the University before admission to the school. Transfer students with 60 credits or more must earn a minimum 2.25 GPA for admission to the School. A minimum TOEFL iBT of 80, or a minimum IELTS Academic of 6.5 is required for international applicants.
