World Impact Rankings 2021: No poverty

You are currently viewing a previous year's ranking.

The Times Higher Education Impact Rankings are the only global performance tables that assess universities against the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). We use carefully calibrated indicators to provide comprehensive and balanced comparison across four broad areas: research, stewardship, outreach and teaching.

This table on SDG 1 – no poverty measures universities’ research on poverty and their support for poor students and citizens in the local community.

The list includes 591 universities from 79 countries/regions.

Universities in South Africa, Indonesia, the UK and Brazil also feature in the top 10.

Russia is the most-represented nation in the list with 41 institutions, followed by Japan with 36.
