Times Higher Education (THE) and Inside Higher Ed have come together to curate Digital Universities US 2024, which takes place from Monday 6 to Wednesday 8 May 2024 at Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri.

More than 110 speakers and more than 500 attendees are anticipated to attend the third Digital Universities US next year, which brings together leading voices on the digital transformation of higher education to discuss collaboration with industry and the opportunities and challenges associated with a digital-first future.

Hosted in collaboration with Washington University, attendees can expect case studies showcasing digital transformation initiatives, practical workshops, best practice sharing and networking opportunities.

While the ever-accelerating pace of digital transformation creates innumerable opportunities for students, faculty and staff, it also raises questions of access and equity.

The event will explore:

  • Embracing the digital campus
  • Creating a human-centred digital student experience
  • Innovation in teaching, learning and assessment
  • Transforming research outcomes

Jamie Ramacciotti, Head of content - THE events, said:

“THE and Inside Higher Ed are so pleased to be collaborating with this year’s Digital Universities US host, Washington University in St. Louis. WashU has identified digital transformation as a key pillar of their institutional strategic plan, and their focus on access, equity, collaboration with industry and research excellence aligns with the vision for the third instalment of Digital Universities US.”

Philip Payne, founding director of the Institute for Informatics, Data Science and Biostatistics, and digital transformation implementation chair at Washington University in St. Louis, said:

“Now is a critical, pivotal moment for both higher education and digital technology. It is incumbent on us to understand how to effectively, responsibly, and equitably embrace and harness these technologies both within the academy and for the greater good. On behalf of Washington University, I welcome you to explore that very exciting future with us.”
