FACILITIES

Vel Tech Technology Business Incubator, is one of the six centres of Excellence all over India under the NIDHI-CoE schemes with funding of 23 crore from Government of India to nurture startups fostering student entrepreneurs. A dedicated research park with well-equipped laboratories in the domains of Autonomous Vehicles, Additive Manufacturing, 3D printing, Nano composites and renewable energy is established to support research projects under the aegis of national and international agencies. Veltech Centers of Excellence in collaboration with GTRE DRDO, ARAI, IBM, DASSAULT Systems and National Instruments established for enabling industry-standard works in advance areas. The University has established an Engineering Workspaces to support and encourage hands-on learning of product, process, and system building, disciplinary knowledge, and social learning.

INDUSTRY INTERACTIONS

The University has interaction 2842 industries, 210 MOUs, 10 industry integrated PG programmes, innovative electives, and internship / in-plant trainings students. University has joint-centres /special-labs with the support of industries. Ongoing collaborative research work at campus with DRDO, NAL, IGCAR and MBDA missiles France, UCAL fuel systems and Rane valves.

INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS

The University has working relationships with more than 364 Institutions in 22 countries across the globe. Students travel to foreign universities for internships and project work. Joint programmes with Indo German Centre for higher education Germany, University of Michigan, Dearborn, USA, National Ilan University, Taiwan are offered as options of higher education.

Prominent Industries have established MOUs to offer training and internships, about 579 recruiters congregated to give away the best offers to the budding engineers.

Building on past projects, it focuses on designing durable systems, using advanced controls to adapt to wear and tear, and supporting a circular supply chain. With Operations & Maintenance (O&M) making up 30% of costs, INFINITY emphasizes reliability and predictive maintenance to extend service intervals from 2 to 5 years and cut costs by 50%. These innovations aim to overcome barriers to wave energy adoption, making it more practical, cost-effective, and a viable renewable energy source. The project team is composed of leading academic and industry collaborators from: RISE Research Institutes of Sweden, Ocean Harvesting Technologies, Politecnico di Torino, The Technical University Denmark etc. This project is funded through the EU’s Clean Energy Transition Partnership with the Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland, and the successful candidate will join a group of around 30 postdoctoral, PhD and other researchers in COER, who work on the development of wave energy technology, with projects funded from various national and international sources. COER has a wide range of eminent industrial and academic collaborators. Salary Scale: Post Doctoral Researcher (2026): €46,805 - €53,391 p.a. (6 points) Senior Post Doctoral Researcher (2026): €54,851 – €59,655 p.a. (4 points) Appointments will be made in accordance with public sector pay provisions.
