Established in 1970, the University of Ulsan has grown to be the epicenter of education, research, and industry-academia cooperation in Asia with a purpose of producing future leaders.

Currently, there are 15,000 students enrolled and 1,770 professors teaching across 6 graduate schools and 9 colleges in the field of engineering, medicine, business administration, natural sciences, design & architecture, humanities, social sciences, human ecology and arts. Our students are striving to continue the spirit of ‘Challenging and Pioneering’ that Chung Ju-Young, the founder of the Hyundai Group and the University of Ulsan, had emphasized.

Through strategic industry-academia cooperation with multi-national corporations such as Hyundai Heavy Industries, Hyundai Motors, SK Energy and S-oil and global exchange programs with 180 academic institutions in 40 different countries, the University is setting the standard in fostering future world-class leaders with global excellence in various disciplines.

The revolutionary education system has made it possible to turn out many excellent alumni. Preference will be given to candidates with expertise in the study of reproductive biology and pluripotent stem cells differentiation, especially those specializing in germ cell development. The appointee is expected to demonstrate both independent research capabilities and effective team collaboration; manage on-going research projects on ovarian reconstitution; publish original research articles in high-impact journals; and secure external competitive grants. A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits. Job Description FACULTY OF SCIENCE DEPARTMENT OF MATHEMATICS Instructor I / Instructor II (25260593) The appointee is expected to take up academic and administrative responsibilities in the Department. The incumbent should collaborate effectively with stakeholders within the department and external collaborators. The appointee should demonstrate a high degree of self-efficacy and be able to serve as a role model for less experienced course assistants. Responsibilities : Delivering and preparing materials for tutorial classes; Assisting course instructors in conducting in-class exercises, marking assessments and class administration; Assisting faculty members and the General Office in organising academic and/or student activities; Mentoring less experienced course assistants; and Other academic and administrative responsibilities as assigned by the Head of Department, or Programme Directors. Requirements: A master’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, or related disciplines; Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua); Good analytical and problem-solving abilities; Strong communication and interpersonal skills; Self-motivation and willingness to learn; and Preferably proficiency in MATLAB/R/SAS. Description Location Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates Description The Division of Engineering at New York University Abu Dhabi, seeks to recruit a motivated Research engineer to work under the supervision of Dr. Marwa Chafii on Channel Modeling for integrated sensing and communication (ISAC). Responsibilities: Lead the design, setup, and execution of ISAC channel measurement campaigns across multiple environments, hardware platforms, and frequency bands Develop, validate, and document ISAC channel modeling methodologies tailored to the lab’s hardware/software testbed. Integrate SDRs (e.g., USRPs, RFSoC) and RF front-ends (FR2, FR3, V-band) into end-to-end ISAC demonstrators. Implement and optimize advanced signal processing algorithms for joint communication and sensing. Analyze experimental datasets, extract statistical models, and compare findings across environments, hardware, and frequency bands. Collaborate with PhD students, postdocs, and faculty on joint projects, ensuring experimental results support theoretical work. Co-author scientific publications in IEEE journals and conferences, and contribute to open datasets/methodologies for the research community. Requirements: Education: Ph.D. (preferred) or M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, or a closely related field. SDR Expertise: Strong hands-on experience with SDRs (USRP, RFSoC, or equivalent). FPGA programming experience is a plus. Programming Skills: Strong experience with MATLAB and/or Python; experience with C++ for high-performance signal processing is a plus. Experimentation: Proven experience developing wireless prototypes, demonstrators, or proof-of-concept systems. Signal Processing: Solid knowledge of channel estimation, channel sounding, and multipath modeling (channel impulse response, frequency response, MIMO models, AoA, AoD, delay, Doppler, etc). RF Systems: Familiarity with RF front-ends, antennas, calibration, synchronization, and over-the-air testing. Teamwork: Ability to collaborate in an interdisciplinary environment, working with researchers and engineers at different seniority levels. Communication: Strong written and oral communication skills for preparing technical reports, presentations, and publications. Independence: Proven ability to work independently, from problem formulation, experimental design, and system integration to data analysis and reporting. The candidate will work in a multidisciplinary environment consisting of PhD-level scientists, graduate students and undergraduate students.
