Currently, there are 15,000 students enrolled and 1,770 professors teaching across 6 graduate schools and 9 colleges in the field of engineering, medicine, business administration, natural sciences, design & architecture, humanities, social sciences, human ecology and arts. About us This role is located within the REF, KEF and Research Impact team. We use our expertise to support research impact across all nine of King's faculties, and to deliver the processes that demonstrate to research funders and wider society the university's excellence in research and knowledge exchange. The team is part of the Research Strategy & Performance Unit within the Research Management & Innovation Directorate (RMID). RMID enables world-class research at King’s by providing grant support, platforms and services that accelerate the work of King’s researchers. About the role Knowledge Exchange at King’s brings together universities, business, users of research and wider communities to ensure our research translates into societal impact. King’s has a long history of service to society and a strategic focus on being a civic university which serves to shape and transform. This role is a crucial part of ensuring our Knowledge Exchange activities are effective, impactful, and align with our strategic direction. The role supports essential work for our impact-related statutory returns. The Knowledge Exchange Senior Officer supports the Knowledge Exchange Manager to enable the Knowledge Exchange processes and returns for King’s. They are responsible for identifying, collating and analysing relevant data, and for clearly communicating the outcomes with colleagues across the university. The Knowledge Exchange Senior Officer sits withing the wider REF, KEF and Research Impact team and supports elements of the Research Excellence Framework (REF) process and the Public and Community Engagement with Research team. The role will co-ordinate the process for the university’s annual Higher Education Business and Community Interaction (HEBCI) Survey return. They will also provide support for elements of the Knowledge Exchange Framework (KEF) and REF returns, and help manage King’s Higher Education Innovation Funding (HEIF). They will co-ordinate and organise the Knowledge Exchange internal and external staff networks and act as secretariat for meetings. The Knowledge Exchange Senior Officer will operate across King’s, building relationships with colleagues including senior leaders. Postdoctoral Researcher in Remote Sensing of Peatlands

Your role The Center of Excellence in Peatlands, Climate Change and Ecological Restoration (PeatResC) is a newly funded, highly competitive Centre of Excellence starting in January 2026, bringing together Aalto University, University of Eastern Finland, Finnish Meteorological Institute and University of Helsinki. PeatResC addresses fundamental questions on ongoing changes in northern peatlands, focusing on climate-change impacts on biodiversity and climate feedbacks, as well as the effects of upcoming large-scale restoration efforts. The postdoctoral researcher will be based in the PeatResC research team led by Professor Miina Rautiainen at Aalto University and will work in close collaboration with partners across this internationally recognized consortium. The main research responsibilities include the development of novel methods and analysis of remote sensing data to monitor water table dynamics and biophysical properties of northern peatlands, from local to Holarctic scales. The position also involves participation in peatland field measurement campaigns, as well as teaching and student supervision at Aalto University. The postdoctoral researcher is expected to participate in extended field campaigns during the summer months, including travel for several weeks at a time and work in remote field conditions. Proficiency in mainstream design software and emerging prototyping tools and materials, including physical computing, additive manufacturing, and sustainable material experimentation; 5. Evidence of academic publications and/or recognized creative outputs, such as design patents, curated exhibitions, funded projects, or international design awards; 6. Experience teaching and mentoring in studio-based, transdisciplinary, or research-intensive design courses at undergraduate and/or postgraduate levels; 7. Fluency in English is required. Proficiency in Chinese is considered an asset, especially for cross-cultural communication, community-based research, and teaching.   The selected candidate is expected to assume duty subject to the mutual agreement of the both parties. Remuneration A taxable annual remuneration starting from MOP1,250,200 (approximately USD154,350) will be commensurate with the successful applicants’ academic qualification and relevant professional experience.. The current local maximum income tax rate is 12% but is effectively around 5% - 7% after various discretionary exemptions.
