Department: Geography Vacancy ID: 041284 Closing Date: 17-May-2026 We are seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Researcher to join the ICARUS Oceans Group at Maynooth University to work on the Marine Institute-funded Actionable Sea Level Information for Irish Policy (ASLIP) project. The successful candidate will lead research at the interface of oceanography, climate science, and data science, with a strong emphasis on translating scientific evidence into actionable information for policymakers. The role will involve the assessment and improvement of sea‑level rise projections for Ireland, integration of observational datasets, and the co‑development of interactive data products to support national climate adaptation and resilience planning. The postdoctoral researcher will work closely with a multidisciplinary team of oceanographers, statisticians and policy stakeholders, including close collaboration with the Marine Institute and other national agencies. Salary: Post-Doctoral Researcher (2026): €46,805 p.a. (1 point) Appointments will be made in accordance with public sector pay provisions. The Department offers the Bachelor of Communication (Honours) in Public Relations and Advertising with two concentrations: Public Relations and Advertising and Branding. Professor / Associate Professor / Assistant Professor in Public Relations or Advertising (25260693) The Department invites applications for two full-time positions at the ranks of Professor, Associate Professor, or Assistant Professor in Public Relations or Advertising. Successful candidates will be expected to conduct cutting-edge and impactful academic research, pursue prestigious external research grants, supervise research postgraduate students and undergraduate honours projects, contribute to excellence in teaching and learning, and fulfill service and administrative duties. Those appointed at Associate Professor or Professor rank will also be expected to assume higher-level administrative responsibilities and mentor junior faculty members.
