About the opportunity We are seeking a proactive and student-focused Student Life Officer to join our Education Operations and Projects team within the Faculty of Medicine and Health. In this dynamic role, you will support the delivery of student engagement initiatives, events and programs that enhance connection, belonging and the overall student experience. Working across our diverse undergraduate and postgraduate student cohort, you will coordinate activities such as peer mentoring and welcome programs, manage complex enquiries, and provide timely, accurate support to help students navigate their university journey. You will play a key role in planning and delivering inclusive, student-centred initiatives, working collaboratively with students, academic and professional staff to foster connection and engagement. Using feedback and data insights, you will contribute to the continuous improvement of programs and services. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly organised, proactive and service-oriented professional who is passionate about enhancing the student experience. Please note: This is a highly student-facing role requiring a regular on-campus presence, with occasional travel to metropolitan campuses.Your key responsibilities will be to: coordinate the Faculty's peer mentoring program, including communications, administration and mentor engagement activities support the planning and delivery of student-facing events and activities, including welcome programs develop and coordinate student communications, including newsletters, promotional content and campaigns manage student enquiries and provide information, guidance and referrals to appropriate services and supports collaborate with schools, faculty teams and university stakeholders to deliver student life initiatives across multiple campuses coordinate activities that promote student wellbeing, connection and a sense of belonging represent the Faculty in university-wide student life networks, communities of practice and working groups monitor and evaluate student engagement activities and identify opportunities for continuous improvement provide administrative and operational support for planning and delivery of student life programs and events About you You are a proactive and highly organised professional who enjoys working with students and bringing people together through engaging programs and initiatives. Job Responsibilities The successful candidate will be expected to: Teach and assess undergraduate courses related to business administration (e.g. Introduction to Business Adminstration, Academic Writing). Develop course materials, teaching plans, assignments, and assessment methods aligned with international academic standards and applied learning principles. Supervise student projects, group work, workshops, and practical training activities. Contribute to curriculum development and continuous improvement of teaching quality.
