Founded in 1990, the Lucian Blaga University of Sibiu is based in Sibiu, a city in Transylvania, Romania. Initially a small school, it soon became a fully-fledged university. The university was named after the philosopher, poet, and playwright, Lucian Blaga, a commanding voice and personality in the 50s. Originally offering just five subjects, students can now study at both undergraduate and graduate level at one of nine faculties: engineering, law, science, agricultural studies, food industry and environmental protection, medicine, letters and arts, social sciences and humanities, economic studies and theology. Lucian Blaga University of Sibiu has a beautiful campus with modern infrastructure and dormitories where students can live on campus. Nearby, there are also modern laboratories, theatres, stores, cafes and an entertainment arena. There’s also a large library. Students are encouraged to get involved with sports activities on campus and there are plenty of sports facilities on campus for students to enjoy when not working. The Lucian Blaga University of Sibiu has established relationships with universities around the world, carrying out academic exchanges, scientific research cooperation and the opportunity for students to study abroad.

You will pursue your doctorate at the University of Vienna as part of the Archival Science or Austrian History research group at the Institute for Austrian Historical Research, working closely with colleagues in Austria and with international research networks.  This call for applications is specifically aimed at archivists who, with a 20-hour-per-week position at the University of Vienna, can complete their doctorate within four years.  The contract term for employment is four years. Description The Applied Interactive Multimedia laboratory in the Division of Engineering, New York University Abu Dhabi, seeks to recruit a motivated research or postdoctoral associate to lead the design, development, and validation of material, control systems, and algorithms for next-generation soft haptic actuators and experiences.
