About Narxoz University

The main focus of teaching at the university is economics. It offers over 20 programmes in the fields of economics, finance, management, marketing, law, international affairs, tourism, catering and hotel management, information systems and the environment. Programmes run from undergraduate level up to PhD.
Students are taught in English, Russian, and Kazakh. Some of the courses have quite high application rates and can be competitive to get into. The university collaborates with investors, sponsors and partners every year to provide financial support for those who want to study but would be unable to do so.

One notable leader to have graduated from Narxoz University is Karin Massimov. He was the former prime minister of Kazakhstan and a chairman of the National Security Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Karin graduated in 1995 after studying finance and credit. Over the years he has worked within many government sectors and worked on improving the efficiency of the public service of citizens of Kazakhstan.
