Overview

Business Analytics is a two-year Master's programme incorporating theoretical knowledge to practical skills in data-driven analytics. 

Studies combine business and technology in an interesting way, and according to study option, graduates can work business or information analyst or data engineer. 
 

The graduates will be able to choose and deploy the relevant analytics theories and methods and they have gained experience in using tools and environments for solving real-life analytics problems. 

Students have a choice of three degree-specific study paths: Business Analyst, Data Engineer, and Information Analyst.

A business administration graduate understands data acquisition and management and how to deploy information for business development and decision-making.

An engineering graduate manages the gathering, organisation and mining of data and can acquire and manipulate data for development and optimisation.

An information processing graduate understands data acquisition and management and can make use of information systems for improving processes and organisational dynamics.
 

The applicant is required to have an appropriate and relevant bachelor’s or higher-level degree.  Each study path (Engineering, Information Processing, Business) has its own specific requirements. 

The applicant also needs to meet the minimum requirements for English language skills of the University of Oulu.
