Overview

Energy – electricity and heat – will always be needed. Graduate engineers in sustainable energy technology will ensure the safe, economical and sustainable production of electricity and heat as well as the development of related technologies. Course details

The Bachelor's Programme in Energy Technology is a unique, international double degree programme developed in cooperation with Hebei University of Technology (HEBUT) in China. Students admitted to the Bachelor's Programme in Energy Technology at LUT University will receive a degree certificate from two universities after they have fulfilled the degree requirements of both universities. You will complete the entire degree in Lahti, Finland. After completing a bachelor's degree in energy technology, you can continue your studies directly in the Master's programmes at LUT in the field of energy technology.

Career outcomes

Graduate engineers in energy technology are needed for well-paid jobs to take care of safe, economical and low-emission energy production. Energy is always needed, whether it is a recession or a boom, so there is a need for experts in the field now and in the future. Extensive knowledge of the energy industry is a trademark of LUT University graduate engineers. They are mainly employed in development, operation and management positions in the energy industry and production and in research and consulting positions. Work tasks are often related to energy economics, the environmental impact of energy production, emission mitigation, renewable energy sources, the construction and safety of nuclear energy, and the operation and control of power plants.
