Having a ball

November 24, 1995

(Photograph) - Having a ball: Eight members of the Professional Footballers Association have graduated from University College Salford's PFA-sponsored part-time BSc in physiotherapy, specially tailored for footballers. Ex-footballer Roger Wylde, now physio at Stockport, said: "In football you really need physiotherapists who know about the game. Physiotherapists who have been brought up in a hospital environment often don't understand the requirements of footballers." Seen with besuited PFA official Paul Power are graduates (left to right) Mark Taylor, Denis Leman, Roger Wylde, Simon Farnworth and Nigel Adkins.
