Cubie faces quizzing by student officers

June 16, 2000

Andrew Cubie is to be quizzed next month on the work underpinning his independent report by incoming student officers who want to see his proposals adopted throughout the UK.

He is to speak at the National Union of Students' national convention for new student officers. Mr Cubie, speaking last weekend at the Scottish Civic Forum, said: "While I strongly support the Scottish Executive in the steps they are taking to implement my committee's recommendations, I am convinced that they had the public support to go further."
