Overview

These degrees offer the intellectual tools, knowledge and skills base necessary for the development and management of public health programmes, interventions and plans that address population health needs. The Master of Public Health programme has a number of specialty tracks: Gerontology, Health Management, and Health Promotion/Education.

Entry requirements

The programmes are open to: 

  • Persons with at least a first degree from an approved university  

  • Medical Officers who are registered medical practitioners, dental surgeons, or veterinary surgeons, with at least three (3) years professional experience preferably in Public Health after successfully completing the final examination in their discipline   

  • Persons who hold a professional or technical qualification of special relevance to the course and who in the opinion of the University have had at least five (5) years of relevant practical experience.
