This degree prepares you to work effectively in team environments, utilise communication skills, and grow and adapt to a world of evolving technology. Elective courses allow for a deeper understanding of a specialised area such as software engineering, interface design, and computer game technologies. 

In this computer science course you'll learn the mathematical and scientific principles that define the operation of all computing systems and will gain the engineering design skills needed to develop reliable software to control computing systems.

The bachelor of science in computer science has a range of compulsory courses including data structures, application development, programming languages and design and analysis of algorithms. Beyond this you can choose your concentration in software development, networking and computer security, or graphics and simulation. All computer science students are encouraged to participate in the CO-OP program, which places students in a paid professional position for three to nine months.

Graduates will employ design skills and technical knowledge that contributes to building or utilising computing systems in a variety of professional careers.
