Biomedical engineering is an innovative field that strives to improve the quality of life through cutting-edge technologies that enhance healthcare and support economic growth worldwide. At the Graduate Institute of Nanomedicine and Medical Engineering (GINME), we specialize in the integration of nanotechnology and advanced manufacturing processes for medical applications, which has proven successful in clinical translations and industrial development. Our primary objective is to drive nanomedicine research forward to address challenges that have yet to be solved by existing technologies.

Our 2-year full-time program is designed to equip students with advanced knowledge in nanotechnology for biomedical applications. Throughout the program, students will receive hands-on research training tailored to their interests. We welcome students from science and engineering backgrounds who are motivated to pursue graduate-level study in nanomedicine and medical engineering.

At GINME, our research encompasses multiple disciplines in nanotechnology, such as nanomaterial design, biomaterials synthesis, semiconductor bioelectronics, and nanoparticle therapy. We offer courses covering the three fundamental areas of nanotechnology and biomedical science: (1) Optoelectronic components, (2) Wearable devices, and (3) Development of medical translation research in the health and medical industry.

The program welcomes applicants holding a Bachelor's degree in various fields of science and engineering, including chemistry, biology, physics, applied science, engineering, etc. We prefer applicants with a strong academic record, with an overall average score of at least 70 and a class rank in the top 50%. Our program focuses on not only curricula but also research experience to prepare students for their future careers. Upon graduation, students can pursue various career paths, such as the biomedical and nanomedicine industry, consulting firms, hospitals and clinics, and other research environments. Furthermore, graduates interested in pursuing a Ph.D. degree can apply for opportunities in their field of interest.
