Edinburgh University's professorial husband and wife

April 28, 1995

(Photograph) - Edinburgh University's professorial husband and wife team, molecular biologist Sir Kenneth Murray and molecular geneticist Noreen Murray, will receive a twin double honour this summer, when both are awarded honorary degrees from two universities, UMIST and Birmingham. Lady Murray said: "The award from Birmingham is particularly pleasing as it was there that Ken and I first met as students. We both did our PhDs at the same time and graduated on the same day in 1959."
