Alkhemy is a social impact company supporting capacity, culture, and change across Higher Education - with a particular focus on supporting the staff delivering student engagement and wellbeing. We work with universities, students’ unions, and sector partners to strengthen how students and staff collaborate to shape inclusive, effective and future-ready institutions. Our work spans advice service reviews, team training, strategic facilitation - we also run embedded services for Universities (such as Independent Academic Advice Services)
We bring together a team of former sector professionals, leaders and experienced practitioners who understand the realities of working in HE today - from operational pressure, to cultural change and service delivery.
Our approach is values-led and equity-centred. We don’t offer generic solutions. Every project is shaped in collaboration with our partners and designed to balance clarity, care, and impact.
We also lead the Big HE Talent Collective - which is a growing network of freelance and project-based professionals offering flexible, high-quality support to institutions and SUs navigating change, capacity gaps, or transformation work.
At a time when student expectations, regulatory demands and organisational complexity are all increasing, we support institutions to build capacity and culture in ways that are sustainable, strategic and centred on genuine partnership with students.
