Margaret Ellis is professor of practice in the department of computer science at Virginia Tech. She is the 2026 Teaching Scholar Award for the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning and recipent of the 2024 IEEE Computer Society Mary Kenneth Keller Computer Science and Engineering Undergraduate Teaching Award in recognition for outstanding contributions to undergraduate education.
