About Universidad del Pacífico

Universidad del Pacífico is a private university situated in the Jesús María District of Lima, Peru. It was founded in 1962 by a group of Peruvian entrepreneurs with the backing of the Society of Jesus, commonly known as the Jesuits. The university is known for its specialisation in business management and economics.

The administration of the university is a collaborative effort between the Society of Jesus and the Board, which ensures adherence to the principles outlined in the statutes of Universidad del Pacífico. Universidad del Pacífico is a member of the Association of Universities Entrusted to the Society of Jesus in Latin America, which comprises 28 universities across 15 countries in the region.

The university offers a comprehensive range of academic programmes. In 2008, it became the first university in Peru to introduce a degree programme in management engineering, followed by the inclusion of law in its degree offerings.

At the postgraduate level, Universidad del Pacífico provides a master of business administration (MBA) programme, along with specialised master's degrees in finance and economics.
