University of Leeds - Self-harm study launched

一月 15, 2009

One of the UK's largest studies of child and adolescent mental health will be led by the University of Leeds. Hundreds of young people deliberately hurt themselves, and the £4.5 million study will examine the best techniques for preventing them from continuing to self-harm and will investigate whether a regime of family therapy is an effective intervention. The project, which involves three universities and 15 National Health Service organisations, will work with more than 800 young people and their families. It is funded by the National Institute for Health Research Health Technology Assessment programme.
