A special workshop will be held next month to examine the lessons that can be learned from troubled Thames Valley University.

The one-day workshop, organised by the Professional Courses Unit at Lancaster University and sponsored by The THES, will examine in detail what other universities can learn from the events at TVU which led to last November's damning Quality Assurance Agency report and the resignation of vice-chancellor Mike Fitzgerald.

Geoffrey Alderman, pro-vice-chancellor at Middlesex University, and Simeon Underwood, of the PCU, will lead the workshops at Radcliffe House, Warwick University, on June 8.
