关于 Azerbaijan Tourism and Management University

Azerbaijan Tourism and Management University was founded in 2006 in Azerbaijan’s capital, Baku. It was raised to university status in 2014.

Its aim is to supply skilled staff for the travel, hospitality and leisure sectors, declaring a mission to "Turn into a higher education institution that prepares specialists who will be competitive in the international labour market and contribute to the sustainable development of society".

Roughly 2,000 students, including a small minority of part-timers, are divided between the faculties of tourism and hospitality, service management, and a business administration faculty which offers master's and doctoral courses. Teaching is provided in Azerbaijani, Russian and English.

The university has two campuses, both with ready access to Baku’s metro and other public transport systems. The main campus is on Koroglu Rahimov, close to Ganclik metro station, with an outpost on Jafar Kharandov, near to Azadlig station.

In 2007 it pioneered dual diplomas in Azerbaijan with an agreement with IMC University of Applied Sciences in Krems, Austria which continues to this day. Since 2008 it has had an exchange scheme with Jade University of Applied Sciences in Germany.

It also has a strong connection with the United Nations World Tourism Organisation, receiving its quality certificate in 2020 and in 2024 hosting its Sixth World Forum on Intercultural Dialogue.
